Free Financial Aid Seminar

The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (or PHEAA) will be hosting a free financial aid seminar for students in Pittsburgh on January 26, 2013.  Come to CCAC's main/Allegheny campus that Saturday from 10 am to noon to learn about a whole bunch of different ways to pay for school and how to get started on accessing them.  The seminar will be in the auditorium of the Forester Student Services building (room S-260.)

This information is not just for CCAC students, but for anyone who's interested, particularly high schoolers and their parents.  (I'd still go as a non-traditional student, though. I'm sure there will be information applicable to everyone and it seems like a great forum to ask someone about resources that may be available to you in your unique situation.)

Also, in case you didn't know, the FAFSA is available!  The sooner you fill that out, the more money the government has to pay out.  If you have questions about filling it out, I imagine that, again, this seminar would be a great place to ask them.  Here's the FAFSA!

  1. This sounds like it would be great, but it's way too far for me :)

    1. You should see if your state's financial aid agency offers anything similar! In PA, these things are offered throughout the state.
