What would I do if I had all the money in the world? Buy this amazing stuff:

This one isn't even that expensive justify ever NEEDING it and therefore buying it.
And decorate my house that I owed nothing but taxes on however the hell I wanted to:

I'd totally pay someone to do this.
Travel here and there:

Somewhere with white beaches and clear water.

An awesome hotel to watch the Northern Lights from in Finland.
But then I think about this:

The family beyond those that would be living in my pimped out house.

Luckily, I'd have all the money in the world, so I'd get to do all of it. :p
What would you do if you had all the money in the world?

ReplyDeleteHaha! Super creepy! And amazing at the same time. I love your guys priorities! I may have to edit mine after some thought and reading your response: I'd want to invest heavily in space travel research, including a ship for me and everyone I think doesn't suck in case the worst happens to our planet like Stephen Hawking warns is inevitable. I'd also hire an extremely well-paid cleaning staff so I never had to wash a dish again.
DeleteThat Finnish hotel looks super cool! but what about creeps peeking in on your room???
ReplyDeleteI think the trolls would take care of them.
Deletei just love the way you describe your point....
ReplyDeleteit's fun and funny way within, yet it's preety Fu*king deep actually
keeep up your great job..
spread out the message to the world
Thanks!
Deleteuber cool post.
ReplyDeletenow when the time comes and I have all the money in the world, I won't have to wonder what to do. I'll just link back here and follow your directions.
Haha, yes. And remember: priority number one is always a hovercraft. :p
DeleteIf I had all the money in the world bf and I would buy a ranch and rescue as many abandoned and abused animals as possible.
ReplyDeleteIronically I use this exact question all the time when I'm doing therapy with clients. It's call the "miracle question". If you could have, or be or do anything what would it be. Then we work on way to achieve the goal or "fix" the problem.
That's super interesting! I'd have to focus on one miracle at a time. I wouldn't want to just buy stuff, as misleading as this post looks. But I could focus on the travel or the kids' college fund thing.
DeleteWow, what a great post. I too like to occasionally dream about what I'd do with an unlimited income and I do particularly like that aqaurium/waterslide! But reading the second part of that reminded me of all the things I do have...my health, a college education, free, safe water (thanks landlord!), my family. And it kind of hit home for me that even if I did/someday do have all the money in the world, I'd likely still maintain a lifestyle of frugality. Because being able to fund my kids' education, or help others out to achieve their dreams is so, so much more satisfying than a new TV or better car. Thanks for the gratitude reminder :)
ReplyDeleteAmen! Perspective is so, so important. The boyfriend is really good about doing this for me...when I get bummed out he reminds me of all that we do have and truly have to be grateful for. And I'd forgo a hovercraft for helping people have enough food or water any day of the week. :)
DeleteI would move to the beach and just relax..all day long. :)
ReplyDeleteMmmm that sounds so nice. I think I'd get bored after a while. but what a way to get bored haha.
DeleteIt's true and we all know that there are plenty of better things we can do if we had money to spare. There's always someone, somewhere worse off than we are, time to lend a hand. That's what I'd do.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably the most fulfilling thing you could do with all that cash, too.
DeleteI love the unique way you have got a very powerful message across! Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Corinne!
DeleteI would raise an army up and take over the world, obviously. Actually, I doubt I would need to do that because I have all the money in the world and thus control the world economy. Anyone wants to eat, they gatta see me. Also, I would make someone dress up like a super hero once a week (probably Monday's) so I could vanquish them. I would also decree the word "vanquish" be cool again.
ReplyDeleteAlso solve world hunger and so forth and so on...
Haha, note to self: don't turn over my bank account to snark. :p
DeleteSo much fun to take the time to dream a bit, right? That mirror by the way is awesome and can be made easily! We are huge on picking up things on the curb and spray painting! xx - Monica
ReplyDeleteLove it! Living in the city there's so much curbside scavenging to be done. I actually refinished a dresser off craigslist for the kiddos once.
DeleteIt's fun to dream, isn't it? If I had all the money in the world then I would definitely leave immediately and start checking places off my travel bucket list. But I would hope that I would remember to help as many people as I could along the way.
ReplyDeleteI loved the initiative you all had around the holidays!
Deletei would have no bills and travel! i would still blog though! i love it too much
ReplyDeleteBlogging would probably stay on my agenda, too. Though I'd be much less rigid with myself. :)
DeleteSounds like a pretty sweet life! First thing on my list would be travelling the world!
ReplyDeleteIf I had all the money in the world, I don't think my life would be much different. I'd probably set up a foundation or charity of some kind, buy a couple of houses and live off the rents. Use most money to share experiences with the ones I care about. Like going back to Europe for a weekend if there is a family reunion.
ReplyDeleteI love how you did this in photos! If I had all the money in the world you can bet I'd embark on a life of travel for at least a year or two, then re-evaluate.
ReplyDeleteIf I had all the money in the world, I would spread
ReplyDeleteit around until everyone had enough.
I mean "enough" food, clothing, shelter and, health care.
DeleteAs far as something exciting for myself? I
don't know what that would be. I really get
the biggest kick out of seeing other people
smile. So, I tend to dream of giving or, helping
others.
